Common Counsel Foundation staff and board are people with sector expertise and lived experience in the justice issues we are taking on. That is why we are here.
We support groups on the frontlines of social change. As we have all witnessed, over the last few years these groups are increasingly under attack. We’ve seen escalating violence against Black, API communities, Jewish communities, immigrants and refugees, and many others that are historic targets of racism, xenophobia and bigoted violence from people who do not believe in peace or justice.
We do not publish the names of our board or staff as a measure of security for our staff and board. For disclosure, we would like to share the following about these two groups that make our work possible.
Our board is made up of people who are leaders from the social justice movement, progressive philanthropy, finance and investment professionals, lawyers and accountants. All are leaders in their sectors and are rooted in social justice values. We have ten board members, including a chair, vice chair, secretary and treasurer who leads a finance committee.
Our staff brings a wealth of expertise, lived experience, and know-how to our work in progressive philanthropy. Our twelve-member staff includes a full finance and operations team, grants administration, and program and philanthropic advising team that lead our pooled funds, partner with donor-advised fund holders, and lead our family advising practice.
